What are mole & skin tags?
mole and skin tag removal
Moles & skin tags often emerge due to a variety of factors. Moles are typically a result of a concentration of melanocytes, the pigment-producing cells in the skin. Sun exposure and genetics play roles in their development. Skin tags, formed by collagen and blood vessels, are linked to friction in skin folds. Genetic predisposition and ageing contribute. While mostly benign, our highly trained team can determine the best route of treatment. If suitable, our CO2 Laser can provide effective and safe mole and skin tag removal in just one treatment.
How Does Moles & Skin Tag Removal Work?
Precision Care for Clearer Skin
We use our CO2 laser to safely perform mole and skin tag removal. Like all laser treatments, there is a risk of scarring depending on the depth of the lesion being treated. For deeper lesions, scarring could occur. However, when treating benign skin lesions, only the tissue above the skin surface is targeted to minimize scarring.
These types of skin lesions grow very slowly, making this technique a preferred option. The chance of significant regrowth is small, and if regrowth does occur, it can often be effectively treated with additional laser sessions.
Before the procedure, a local anaesthetic injection is administered to ensure a painless experience. Our CO2 treatment offers a scalpel-free, painless process with minimal side effects. The precision of this technique, combined with our highly experienced medical team, allows us to safely treat any area, including the delicate eye area.

Moles & Skin TagRemoval FAQ's
A local anaesthetic injection will be administered before the CO2 laser mole and skin tag removal treatment. This may cause a slight sting, but you won’t feel anything during the laser procedure. Depending on the size of the mole and the number of skin tags, the treatment typically takes just a few minutes.
Typically, it takes just one treatment to remove individual moles or skin tags. However, if you have a larger area requiring mole or skin tag removal, we may recommend scheduling more than one appointment.
You will notice some redness after the procedure. We will apply some antibiotic cream immediately afterwards, and give you some ointment to re-apply at home. The area will remain red for a few days. It is essential that you keep the area clean and out of the sun. Within a few days new skin will emerge, and over a couple of weeks the redness will disappear. The skin may appear lighter than the surrounding skin, it is essential that you apply a high factor sun block to the area going forward.
The risk of scarring after mole or skin tag removal with this treatment is unlikely, though it can occur in some cases. Factors like skin type and healing ability may increase the risk. To minimize the chance of scarring, it is crucial to follow our post-treatment aftercare regime.
CO2 Laser Mole and Skin Tag removal is designed to completely eliminate the affected area in just one treatment. When done correctly, the treated mole or skin tag should not grow back. While new moles and skin tags may appear elsewhere, these are unrelated to the previously treated area. To help prevent further moles and skin tags, we recommend using a high-factor sunblock.
