The gold standard in lasers
CO2 laser resurfacing is by far the most powerful skin rejuvenation technique available for facial skin. CO2 have been used since 1994, to treat patients who wish to avoid the risks associated with open surgery such as facelifts. CO2 lasers completely renew your facial skin, improve skin elasticity, tighten your skin, improve skin thickness and ultimately remove your wrinkles. This advanced laser can also reduce the signs of ageing, like sun spots (this is not possible with radiofrequency devices like Morpheus). CO2 resurfacing can now also be used to rejuvinate the neck, chest and back of the hands. Ultimately, this laser will produce a smooth skin texture and make you look 10-20 years younger!
Skin resurfacing procedures work by accurately removing the very top layer of your skin by inflicting a very controlled injury. An intense beam of light energy (laser) destroys the outer layer of skin (epidermis) resulting in immediate shrinkage (30-50%) and at the same time, heats up the underlying skin (dermis), stimulating collagen production. Over time, this new type 3 collagen results in a newer healthier layer of skin with better tone and texture. This collagen continues to be synthesized for up to 6 months meaning that there is further improvement after the immediate healing phase.
Not all CO2 lasers are the same! At the AMAR Aesthetics & Laser Clinic, we have the latest medical-grade CO2 laser for skin resurfacing produces, the Lumenis UltraPulse. This laser has cutting-edge technology to produce intense pulses of light (true high-energy short-pulse CO2) and can only be used by only a handful of experienced laser specialists like Mr Ghattaura. Our CO2 laser maximizes your treatment outcomes, reduce downtime and improves your comfort. Normal aesthetic grade CO2 lasers lack the power required to perform this procedure in the same way. Lumeins ar pioneers in the field of aesthetic medical lasers and have been market leaders for over 20-years, so you can be sure that this is one of the world’s most powerful and state-of-the-art skin resurfacing lasers
For some people, the down time associated with MaxFx laser resurfacing is too long. For this reason, our UltraPulse CO2 laser has two tailored settings, the MaxFx mode and the Active Fx mode. The MaxFx mode, produces a more intense skin resurfacing, (managing deeper wrinkles), whereas the Active Fx mode (CO2-lite version) produces a less intense burn and shorter recovery. As a result, the MaxFX™ can produce incredible results in a single treatment, wheras the ActiveFX™ can provide noticeable results in a single treatment with much less down-time.
Ultimately, the greatest benefit of CO2 resurfacing is that the results are permanent. The procedure doesn’t have to be repeated like other cosmetic treatments such as dermal fillers or BotoxTM. As long as you take good care of your skin, your results will last for many years before they need to consider doing anything further. Compared to Erbium lasers, chemical peels and dermabrasion, the CO2 laser produces a more precise control of depth and heat effect, immediate bleeding control and less pain and risk of infection. They also avoid the risk of significant long-term pigmentation change associsted to dermabrasion, Erbium lasers and chemical peels.
